It’s The Soldier
It is the Soldier, not the minister
Who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the Soldier, not the reporter
Who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the Soldier, not the poet
Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the Soldier, not the campus organizer
Who has given us freedom to protest.
It is the Soldier, not the lawyer
Who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the Soldier, not the politician
Who has given us the right to vote.
It is the Soldier who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who allows the protester to burn the flag.
According to the Veterans Administration there are 1.4 million homeless and at-risk veterans in the us, more than 5000 in Texas and over 700 in Dallas county. We believe that the integrated Warrior is the foundation stone of a peace-loving, prosperous, and dynamic community.
Our mission is to take homeless and at-risk veterans and place them in a residential environment structured to provide them with the tools, principles, concepts and skillsets for putting their lives back together again. This includes but is not limited to job skills training, entrepreneurial mentorship, connection with community based services and ultimately transitioning them into worthy careers, self-employment and homes of their own with a future as bright as our heroes deserve.
As we looked around for great and noble opportunities to pay it forward we found there were many organizations, public and private, with missions to redress the many egregious issues in our communities. Some worthy and a few truly noble, what we did not find where many examples of effective, efficient and durable solutions translating into positively changed lives, families and communities.
The Reintegrated Warrior Foundation is just such a great and noble mission. What makes it great and noble is not just the sustainable fruit that it produces, but the process whereby that fruit is made manifest. We are a unique organization with a principle centric solution to the problem of disabled, homeless and at-risk veterans. We have engineered from the ground up a process we call the Reintegration Cycle.
At what point in our lives are we able to solve the challenges that hold us back from achieving and maintaining a successful life? We have found that it is almost always internal issues as opposed to an array of outside forces acting as barriers preventing us from demonstrating, what in our hearts we know, our lives are capable of. We envision ourselves in the barrier removal business.
The Reintegrated Warrior Foundation bridges the gap from discharge to restoration. We are not a lip sync merry-go-round referral service or money aggregators. We are direct action advocates.
